Remodeling Company Marketing

In 2019, I was brought on to head up the marketing for a new high-end remodeling division affiliated with Highland Homes, the largest private homebuilder in the state of Texas. As Brand Manager, I was responsible for all marketing and branding-related activities for this startup with the initial goal of attaining brand awareness and recognition in the DFW and Houston markets as well as attracting new clients and subsequently obtaining social proof to further bolster our credibility as a newer company.

My responsibilities included but were not limited to the following marketing-related activities:

  • Established the company's brand identity, including logo design, color schemes, brand guidelines, marketing materials and ensured consistency across all brand touchpoints.

  • Effectively managed the marketing budget, allocating resources efficiently to maximize ROI by increasing brand awareness/consideration and generating qualified leads.

  • Launched the company’s social media presence by creating and managing profiles on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Houzz, Pinterest, and TikTok. Rapidly acquired a robust follower base with compelling content, community engagement efforts, and targeted ads.

  • Conceptualized and executed successful digital and print marketing campaigns that boosted brand visibility and generated high-quality leads.

  • Produced high-quality visual and written content to showcase completed projects.

  • Managed vendor relationships and coordinated various photo and video shoots, editorial features, digital and print media, local sponsorships, trade shows and industry involvement, influencer partnerships, and community outreach efforts.

  • Planned, coordinated, and promoted various B2B and B2C events and trainings.

  • Regularly monitored and analyzed digital metrics and user data to refine content strategy and optimize performance, leading to increased website traffic and conversion rates.

  • Encouraged satisfied customers to become brand advocates through testimonials and online reviews. Managed and mitigated any negative online feedback to maintain a positive brand reputation.

As Brand Manager, I oversaw a complete rebrand and worked directly with a creative agency to develop our new logo, symbol, colors, fonts, brand guidelines, website, and full suite of marketing materials including business cards, sales collateral, and more.

I communicated with our remodel clients post-project completion to coordinate photoshoots and encourage clients to become brand advocates through testimonials, online reviews, social media features, and word-of-mouth/referrals. Additionally, I managed and mitigated any negative online feedback to maintain a positive brand reputation.

In my creative role, I checked in on our remodel projects on a regular basis to capture photos and videos for social media content. I created and maintained the company’s social media presence on platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, Houzz, YouTube, and LinkedIn. Instagram was our main focus and the channel we experienced the greatest ROI.

Throughout the company’s tenure on Instagram (from Aug. 2019 to Aug. 2022), we acquired over 7.4K+ followers through organic efforts alone and cultivated an engaged community. We had several Instagram posts/Reels picked up and featured by larger accounts, including @kitchensofinsta, an inspirational design account with an audience of 1M+.

As Brand Manager, I designed and maintained our company’s website, regularly adding new remodel project photos to our portfolio page and creating new long-form content for our blog to provide current and prospective clients with educational/inspirational resources as well as boost our SEO with the use of relevant keywords.

trade shows

As Brand Manager, I coordinated our attendance at top Home & Garden shows in the DFW and Houston areas to reach potential new customers in the market for home-related services. I designed and ordered all marketing materials shown in our booth setup including banners/signage, video display, promotional items and print collateral, etc.

community outreach

Our company partnered with Operation Finally Home to provide a complete home remodel for the family of an injured veteran. The McKinney, TX home’s complete overhaul was revealed at a ribbon-cutting ceremony in 2022.
